This course is designed for individuals looking to commence their education in the world of fashion styling, fashion creative management and fashion marketing and advertising. The subjects offered on this course cover all theoretical and practical aspects, providing the student with a professional, all-encompassing vision of culture, fashion and communication.
Course in Fashion Communication 1 year, taught in English, covers all theoretical and practical aspects.
The course involves both theoretical and practical appliances and project exercises. As well as seminars given by relevant professionals and visits to the collaborating brands.
The course is divided into two main areas:
Mkt & Adv- the students explore the concept “fashion brand” and learn how to develop both marketing and advertising plans analyzing the fashion sector, its market and environment.
Communication - the students analyze the steps of a fashion communication plan and become familiar with some related areas such as media, on-line platforms, fashion journalism, or special events among other things.
Styling - the students obtain a global knowledge about styling, fashion, art and photography so they can use photo format as the most basic and important way to express fashion images.
Creative Direction - the students are introduced into fashion films and creative direction so they are able to understand and work with fashion video formats.
FURTHER EDUCATION at IED
After finishing the Fashion Communication course, students can access the 2nd year of the trienal fashion Diploma: “Comunicación, Estilismo e Imagen Moda”.The requirements are to have a certain level at Drawing, Fashion Illustration and Illustrator (Adobe), which will be proved by solving 3 exercises related to these themes and presenting a portfolio/dossier.
After finishing the Fashion Communication Course, the students can access the 2nd year of Diploma IED Image, Style Design and Fashion Communication.
